Overview

Epitalon is a tiny four-amino-acid peptide that has been studied for longevity for over 40 years, primarily by Russian scientists. It is based on a natural peptide produced by your pineal gland — a small gland in your brain that also controls your sleep-wake cycle. The big claim to fame for Epitalon is its ability to activate an enzyme called telomerase, which helps maintain the protective caps on your DNA. Those caps (telomeres) get shorter as you age, and shorter telomeres are linked to aging and disease.

Key Benefits

Activates telomerase enzyme to lengthen telomeres
Regulates the sleep-wake cycle via melatonin
Antioxidant properties
May extend lifespan (demonstrated in animal studies)
Supports immune function
Normalizes hormonal function

Mechanism of Action

Here is a helpful analogy: your chromosomes are like shoelaces, and telomeres are the plastic tips at the end that stop them from fraying. Every time a cell divides, those tips get a little shorter. Epitalon activates telomerase, the enzyme that rebuilds those tips. It also helps regulate melatonin production, which is why many users notice improved sleep quality alongside the longevity benefits.

Dosing Protocol

Typical Dose

5 mg once daily (standard cycle)

Dose Range

1–10 mg/day

Frequency

Once daily for 10–20 days per cycle

Route

Subcutaneous injection

Cycle Length

10–20 days, 1–2 times per year

CLINICAL NOTES

Standard dose is 5 mg once daily for 10–20 days. Lower doses of 1–5 mg are used for milder effects. Anti-aging protocols sometimes use up to 10 mg once daily. Treatment cycles are repeated 1–2 times per year with several months between cycles. Evening dosing is preferred due to its effects on melatonin.

Reconstitution Guide

Vial Size

10 mg

BAC Water

1 mL (100 units)

Concentration

10 mg/mL

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the caps from the bacteriostatic water (BAC water) and Epitalon vial and clean both stoppers with alcohol swabs. Draw 100 units (1 mL) of bacteriostatic water into a syringe and inject it gently into the Epitalon vial. Swirl gently until the peptide is fully dissolved — do not shake. The solution is now 10 mg/mL.
