Overview

Thymalin is a natural peptide mixture extracted from the thymus gland. Think of it as a concentrated dose of the signals your own thymus uses to train immune cells. As we age, the thymus shrinks and becomes less active — a process that starts in your 20s and accelerates after 40. This is one of the main reasons our immune systems weaken with age. Thymalin has been studied in Russia for decades as a way to essentially wake the thymus back up and restore immune function in aging populations.

Key Benefits

Restores and normalizes immune system function
Increases T-cell production and activity
Reduces frequency of infections in immunocompromised individuals
Supports longevity by slowing immune aging
May improve response to vaccines in elderly patients
Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties

Mechanism of Action

Thymalin works by providing the thymus gland with the peptide signals it needs to produce and mature T-cells properly. As we age, the thymus produces fewer of these signals on its own. Thymalin essentially supplements what the thymus has lost. It helps balance the ratio of different T-cell types, activates natural killer cells (which hunt down viruses and abnormal cells), and helps coordinate the immune system's communication network. The result is a more balanced, responsive immune system.

CLINICAL NOTES

Thymalin is typically used in 10-day treatment courses rather than continuous daily use. Most research comes from Russian clinical studies. Often combined with Epithalon for comprehensive longevity protocols.
